Hello Friends!

I am so excited to introduce you to SUNSET ROCK! This sweater has been in the making for quite some time, so it is a wonderful feeling to finally introduce it to you. 

I have been wanting a versatile year-round cardigan for quite some time. So, when The Uncommon Thread featured a photo of their Everyday Sport weight yarn in “Grass is Always Greener”, I knew that it would become the sister cardigan to my favorite pullover, STARBOARD ROCK.

The challenge for me in designing SUNSET ROCK was how to take  the features that I love so much in STARBOARD ROCK and translate them into a cardigan. Here is what I decided:

  • Use a sport weight yarn for year-round utility.
  • Maintain the roomy fit, for comfort.
  • Add more Twin Ribbing with a shaw collar and fun shoulder detail.
  • Use easy all-in-one construction, with minimal seaming.
  • Shorter length, so it can be worn with every outfit.
