Hello Friends!

January flew by in a blur and now it is mid-February without any new pattern launches! Yikes… So today there is so much news!

First, I want to introduce you to CURVATURE!

CURVATURE is a cozy yet elegant cardigan that, apropos of its name, is full of curved lines. Beginning with the drape of the front panels, curves also show up on the back darts, giving the sweater a lovely shape regardless of whether it is worn buttoned or left open! Even the placement of the buttons are on a curved line!

Knit in Woolfolk Flette, the incredibly soft and supple Woolfolk superfine merino wrapped to create a luxurious boucle, the fabric is simply amazing! As a result, wearing CURVATURE is like wrapping yourself in a big hug! I am wearing the size M in color 27 with approximately 4″/10cm of positive ease. The pattern is written for sizes XS to 3X.

In other news, SEQUENCES SHRUG, which was part of the 2020 A Verb for Keeping Warm Proverbial Shawl Club knit Annapurna yarn, is now available as an individual download on Ravelry and loveCrafts. Photo by Gale Zucker.

Like my other sequence knitting, SEQUENCES SHRUG is an adaptation of Sequence Knitting from Cecelia Campochiaro’s amazing book. I expanded the SEQUENCES shawl into something more functional. What is more practical than a shawl that can be buttoned? Or buttoned into a shrug? Or buttoned as a scarf? Knit in one of my all time favorite yarns, I hope you agree that this is an amazing addition to any wardrobe.

I also am excited to show off a new sample of LANE’S ISLAND knit in mYak Tibetan Cloud!

The yarn is light as a cloud and so very soft. It is sourced exclusively from an ancient breed of Tibetan sheep that roam freely on the grassland of the Tibetan Plateau. We used the colors Calendula and Ginestra, but the yarn comes in 17 different lovely shades and is available from the mYak website. Find the pattern on Ravelry and loveCrafts. Photo by mYak.

And finally, I have lovely new photos of POINTED FIRS HAT which really show off the design.

This one is knit in Viola Yarn (Emily Foden of Knits About Winter fame) Mooresburg DK that Emily gifted me  some years back when she first opened her new dye studio (BTW, she is having a shop update on February 29th). Find POINTED FIRST HAT on Ravelry and loveCrafts. Photo by Gale Zucker.

A special thank you to Woolfolk, mYak, A Verb for Keeping Warm, Viola Yarns and Gale Zucker for all of your amazing support!
